The AIMMS MSc Talent program –  is a unique training program for talented Master students in the field of molecular life sciences.

Crafting your Interdisciplinary toolkit
During this program you develop the ability to integrate knowledge from various fields. How to approach complex problems from multiple angles and develop a comprehensive understanding of the chemistry of living systems; integrate principles from chemistry, biology, and related disciplines.
Expand your network in the field
Engaging in this program connects you with professionals, mentors, and collaborators. Remember, in most jobs, your network is as valuable as your expertise!

For whom?
This program is for Master students following
– Master Drug Discovery Sciences
– Master Chemistry – track Chemistry of Life
– Master Biomolecular Sciences
– Master Bioinformatics and Systems Biology

Program structure
The program has a duration of two years.

The AIMMS Talents will:
Attend networking events and conferences in the life sciences area
E.g. Dutch Medicine Days, CHAINS or BioSB, AIMMS festival or ACID.
If applicable, students will present their poster.
Attend AIMMS seminars
AIMMS Talents will attend AIMMS seminars from topics in the fields of Food, Pharma and Environment & Life sciences.
Participate in a scientific challenge
All talents will actively participate in a scientific challenge e.g. a hackathon. Curious for an example? Read here. The scientific challenge the talent participates in is decided in consultation with the scientific board.

AIMMS MSc Talent program certificate
When successfully fulfilling the requirements of the program students will be awarded an AIMMS MSc Talent program certificate, upon your graduation.

Timeline
1 October 2024 – Application deadline
14 – 18 October 2024 – Interviews
November 2024 – Kick-off Talent Program

Application documents
Students submit the following:
– Curriculum Vitae
– A written application letter.
– A letter of recommendation from their BSc program thesis examiner.
NB: only mandatory for students without Cum Laude.

Applications are followed by an interview with the Scientific Board of the AIMMS MSc Talent Program.

Program requirements
To successfully complete the program, students must meet the following requirements:
– Participate in one scientific challenge
– Attend four AIMMS seminars
– Attend two scientific conferences
– Write a reflection report on the developed skills during the talent program
– The conducted research project, part of their respective study, should fit the topic of molecular life sciences
